Before ordering: the TownCruise has a listed weight of 38kg, and its battery alone weighs 8.9kg. The seat, battery and baskets lift off and the tiller folds down, but it is heavier than our folding travel scooters. Storage and transport
The TownCruise comes apart into smaller sections, which makes it easier to store at home or move into a larger car boot.
- Folding tiller: loosen the locking knob and fold the steering column down.
- Removable seat: the seat lifts straight out of its post.
- Removable battery: the 8.9kg battery lifts out using its carry handle.
- Removable baskets: the front and rear baskets both lift off.
- Freewheel mode: push the scooter into position by hand without the motor engaged.
Lifting note: the TownCruise is heavier than a folding travel scooter. For frequent car journeys or holidays, our lightweight AeroGlide may suit you better.
Battery and charging
- A 24V 12Ah lead-acid battery sits under the seat.
- Charge it while it is fitted to the scooter, or lift it out and charge it indoors.
- The charger light shows amber while charging and turns green when charging is complete.
- Fully charge the battery before first use and allow at least 8 hours for a full charge.
- Switch the scooter off before charging and avoid leaving it on charge for more than 24 hours.
- If the scooter is not used regularly, charge the battery once a week to keep it healthy.
Actual range depends on terrain, gradients, user weight, temperature, battery condition and driving style. Always follow the charging and battery-care instructions supplied in the user manual.

The scooter arrives folded, with a few simple assembly steps: raise the tiller and fit the seat, armrests, baskets, battery, freewheel lever and anti-tip wheels. Step-by-step instructions are included in the user manual. Colours may appear slightly different in person because of lighting, screen settings and product photography.
Warranty
The TownCruise comes with a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase, covering:

- Battery: 6 months, as a consumable item
Normal wear and tear, consumable items such as tyres and upholstery, and damage caused by misuse, accidents, inadequate maintenance or unauthorised modifications are not covered. Please keep your order confirmation as proof of purchase.
